Season preview on North Derbyshire Radio

I was on North Derbyshire Radio again last night, speaking with Matt Rhodes about our chances in the 2025 season and for the opening game against Gloucestershire.

You can hear the interview here

I am on at 34.30, but it is well worth a listen to the full show!

In other news, Blair Tickner took 3-18 in thirteen overs last night, for Central Stags against Auckland Aces.

Assuming there is no reaction to his spell after injury, we should be all systems go for him travelling to God's Own County.

Happy days!

  1. Encouraging news about Blair Tickner but I would like to alert you Steve and all your followers to an article on Harry Moore in today's Times. Too much information to summsrise here but of particular note is the assertion that he will receive £41,500 playing for Bifmingham Bears in The Hundred. This begs the important question "Will we be able to hang onto him?"

    1. I am not worried tbh. He is contracted to the end of 2027. We will look after him and the family are fans of the county. Not saying he wouldn't move, but if he can realise his ambitions while playing for us, it would take silly money to lure him away

  2. Alternatively, if players can get good money in that competition & other franchises, then they do not need to pursue the biggest county salaries aswell. Or am I being naive.

    1. Could go either way MarkB. I hoped for this train of thought when Leus got a bumper contract from S Brave, but he still left for Middlesex. King Wayne however is on his second 100 club and remains a DCCC legend. Craig.
