The forecast doesn't look too bad at all, so a prompt start will depend on how well the ground recovers from the recent rain that has covered the country.
Derbyshire will travel with a squad of thirteen and unless the pitch suggests turn, which would be unfeasible at most places this early, I don't see many changes to the likely side at Derby. One spinner, and/or a choice between Matt Lamb and Nye Donald - unless we decide to pack the batting, of course.

Glamorgan scored 620-3 last time out at Lord's, with Sam Northeast registering 335*, the highest score made at the ground. That being the case - and cricket being the leveller that it is - he is due a duck here...

They are missing Podmore, Byrom and van der Gugten, while Craig Miles has been recalled from his loan by Warwickshire. Hamza will be a danger with the new ball, but Blair Tickner will hope to be equally influential for us.
It is a hard game to call, because after registering such a high score, Glamorgan conceded first innings lead to Middlesex on a batting paradise. So it is hard to judge the respective merits of the two sides, especially when Derbyshire have yet to get onto the hallowed turf this summer.
Yet again, this is the sort of game we need to be winning and I am hopeful that we can put out a side that can win this one - especially if everyone hits their stride early.

A big game later on today after losing the first match to the weather we must make sure sure if we can't win the game then we don't lose it. Given the squad assembled and the optimistic feel going around a poor performance would be a real blow even with the 12 games left. I have rarely felt that this club has an ingrained confidence despite what the official line might have been down the years. I like Mickey Arthur a lot but I know some supporters think he talks things up to much. I would have to disagree I would far rather have a positive personality than someone who says virtually nothing.Mickey has undoubtedly been very vocal in terms of what he says can be achieved, but hell what's wrong with that ? It's actually takes a brave man who publicly states as much as Mickey does. So I would appeal to all Derbyshire supporters to 100% get behind this man. If i could be so bold as to give a message to the players it would be this, theirs not much you can do about the talent and ability you were born with, but theirs a,hell of a lot you can do with how you apply it.
