Palladino's turn for contract extension

News today that Tony Palladino has signed a contract extension, one that will keep him at the County Ground until at least the end of the 2013 season.

It is excellent news for fans and will keep a bowler who has proved both successful and populat at the club to forge a fine opening pairing with Tim Groenewald.

It is equally good to see that the club have been forward planning and not allowing players to get to final years when they could be subject to approaches from elsewhere.

I'm sure that there will be more to come. Thumbs up from me for this one!

  1. Yes i agree, but lets remember it was John Morris that bought Palladino and Groenewald to our club,

  2. Good news for us on Palladino, he's been a good signing. As the previous guy said though both Palladino and Groenewald were unknowns who John Morris brought in. The squad is in need of at least a couple of quality players if we are to improve and now that John has gone I am not sure who on the staff we have got to keep unearthing the gems liked John did.

  7. to all who praise morris's signings i say Nantie Haywood. all we can hope is krik gets more right than wrong as no coach can get 100 per cent right signings. great day today.

  8. Brewbeard, Haywood was an international cricketer and a top county player in his time and he wasn't that bad for us. We have had plenty worse!
