The wicket looks to be turning a bit. Reece and Came played splendidly again. Reece is my player of the year. Despite a poor T20, he has been sensational in 4 day and 50 over cricket. I think we have been unlucky to play Yorkshire and Durham in 4 rain free games. I recall Sussex escaping with draws twice v Yorks. Kris
Thought we played well today, couple of good C&B to finish off the Gloucestershire innings , and then another fine opening stand from Came and Reece. Given the predicted weather over the next couple of days I suspect this will be a draw. Martin
Credit to Dal for achieving career best figures. Then Reece and Came put us in a strong position, with both looking like scoring centuries...and then it all fell away, not for the first time this season. Why does this happen so often with our batting? I've absolutely no idea. But when your openers do their job in laying a solid foundation, then those batting below need to capitalise on this.
