Dobell reports new signing..

George Dobell of the Cricketer is tonight reporting that Mickey Arthur has agreed terms with Nottinghamshire all rounder Zak Chappell.

If true, that would be a very good signing. 

More tomorrow, when I suspect there will be a press release from the club.

    I said Notts should have a bowler spare! Hutton hasn't played much either and would be another good signing. But Chappell is a good signing, fending off other interest. He is the right age and if he stays fit can do a good job for us. He just needs to be appreciated.

    Very pleased by this signing. Despite this season's improvement, it's been obvious for a long time that the squad needs significant strengthening and an injection of quality and experience. If he stays fit, Zak Chappell is the type of player who could do very well for us .
