The Scots left-arm spinner has a good record at the ground and against the opponents, so while the result is largely academic after the washout against Kent, closely followed by 'tapegate', a win would do nicely.
Shan Masood returns, as does Billy Godleman in this thirteen:
Godleman, Masood, Reece, Came, Guest, Dal, Harrison, Wagstaff, McKiernan, Watt, Conners, Aitchison, Potts
Bottom of the table, Derbyshire will want to win to better illustrate the progress made this year. Yorkshire can still qualify, but a loss tomorrow will end their interest in the competition. Their squad is:
Fin Bean, Dom Bess, Ben Coad, Harry Duke (W), Will Fraine, George Hill, Will Luxton, Tom Loten, Mathew Revis, Jack Shutt, Harry Sullivan, Jonny Tattersall, Matthew Waite.
Openers Fraine and Duke have been responsible for a large part of their success so far, putting on several large opening stands. Early inroads could be beneficial for Derbyshire and I am going for a home win tomorrow.
Always assuming the rain holds off, of course...
Very disappointing that we find ourselves bottom of this table as Mickey said we'd do well in it. We've been pretty poor bar the Worcestershire game and our squad depth(or lack of it) has really been tested to the limit.
ReplyDeleteThink we will probably win as we like Yorkshire at Chesterfield, lol
We were pretty good at Essex, to be fair. Having Masood, Godleman, Du Plooy, Conners, Watt, Scrimshaw and Madsen missing at various points, was too much. Kris
ReplyDeleteDreadful batting so far, can't get going at all, comfortable Yorkshire victory on the cards
