Under 18s on top at Leeds

Derbyshire's under 18 side had another excellent day against Yorkshire at Leeds, giving themselves a chance of victory on the final day, tomorrow.

They pushed their first innings total to 505-8, with George Blount making a superb unbeaten 200, which included 30 fours. Jake Green was finally out for 80 from 85 balls, having helped to add 133 for the eighth wicket.

Yorkshire lost wickets steadily in their first innings, Armstrong top scoring with 62. Slow left arm spinner Oliver Woodward, who was the Coaches Player of the Year last year at under-16 level, took 3-36, while there were two wickets each for Zak Kelly, Jake Green and Max Berry as the home side were all out for 245.

They were asked to follow on, 260 runs behind and although they started better second time around, Woodward removed Hayes just before the close as they finished on 61-1.

This has been a really good team performance so far, and the scorecard and video clips can be seen here
