Under 18s do well at Chesterfield

The under 18s had a good day at Queen's Park on the first day of three against Yorkshire

They bowled the visitors out for 225, with Greenfield making 87 and Matt Stewart recording the excellent figures of 4-37 in sixteen overs.

In reply, Derbyshire were 72-1, with Sam Cliffe unbeaten on 20 and Zak Kelly on 33

If you are free today and in Chesterfield, it sounds like a good one to watch!

  1. Peakfan, How far away is young Matt Stewart from the 1st team? Has he performed at 2nd team level? He looks like a fine young seamer which is exactly what the 1st team need at the moment.

    1. He does look promising and on the couple of streams I have seen he seems to swing the ball. I think his next step is to turn in these figures at that level, force a way in to the thinking.

He usually takes one or two wickets at second team level and if he can turn that to three or four he will have a chance
