They were all out for 223, in response to Leicestershire's first innings of 343, in which Nick Potts recorded figures of 4-66.
The Derbyshire innings was built around scores by the best known batters. Mitch Wagstaff made 55 and Yusuf Bin Naeem 41, before Amrit Basra nursed the tail and was last out for an excellent 74.
When Leicestershire went in again, Matt Stewart took three quick wickets, including first innings centurion Sheridon Gumbs, Jamie Dunk and Sol Budinger, in a spell of 3-35

Lots of players doing well in the seconds. If at least 2 or 3 of them are not in the team v northants it will be amazing( or would be if Arthur wasn’t running the show) Chappell is to be admired for staying fit and obviously being keen to play but really does look in need of a rest. We obviously are not going to be promoted so why not use this season to give other players a chance. Build a bigger group of players with first team experience ready for seasons ahead. Stop treating the club as two completely separate units
