Derbyshire sign Palladino

News this morning that Derbyshire have signed Essex seamer Tony Palladino on a two year deal, replacing Ian Hunter whose contract has been cancelled by mutual consent.

It was rumoured a couple of weeks back and its good to see the deal has come through.

More from me later!

  1. He looks a fair signing, Peakfan. However, I would like to see a greater wickets per game return in the championship, once he dons our colours.

This news seems to confirm that we are going with what we have got on the spin front, which is fair enough.

  2. im the one who made the original comment on your blog.
As mentioned if hes bowling when overcast and on agreen top he will be very effective (derby have a lot of these perhaps!) he is a handful, but so is darren stevens or matt walker, or any trundler. more often than not he will be cannon fodder im afraid as hes accurate but no more than military medium. still i hope he does well for derby.
