Derbyshire on an England scorecard!

Thanks to Mark for sending me a photo of the team sheet from the Lord's Test and for granting permission for its use.

So nice to see Derbyshire named as the home of one of the English players.

Shoaib Bashir hasn't had a great deal of opportunity in this match, so dominant have been the seam bowlers. But I have every confidence that he will do the necessary, if and when opportunity arises.

Many thanks, Mark. I think it is fair to say you have seen an eventful match!

Thanks Peakfan! I did stand up when Shoaib Bashir came into bat on Thursday much to the astonishment of my wife and fellow spectators.

I think Mike Hendrick, Dominic Cork, Les Jackson & Cliff Gladwin would have enjoyed bowling at the Home of Cricket this weekend.

I spent a lovely day again at Lords yesterday, with a very good friend, Paddy, a Hampshire supporter. We had a wonderful day sat under an umbrella chatting in the rain to see only 10 overs. I think only the game of cricket can do that. We got a full refund too!!
