Coming soon...

It is the Chesterfield Cricket Festival, starting this weekend!

I have wanted to attend for the last ten years, but family holidays and date availability at work has always been a challenge. I will finally make it this year and I'm looking forward to it immensely.

It has already been lovely to hear from many people who are wanting to catch up while I am down there. If you see me wandering around, please do say hello, as it is always nice to meet people in person.

I will be leaving home around 5:30 a.m.on Sunday, with a hope of getting there fairly close to the start of play.

Will I see a good Derbyshire performance? Who knows..

Anyway, I discussed the game and recent events at the county with Matt Rhodes of North Derbyshire Radio today. You can hear the interview this evening and I will post a link to it in my preview of the Yorkshire game tomorrow.

  1. I hope to be there for some of the cricket, Steve, but I am fairly immobile at the moment due to a recent replacement knee operation. If I'm there I shall certainly look out for you.

You will look forward to it because of the wonderful surroundings Peakfan, sadly not because of the Cricket. Seriously though, enjoy it mate!

    1. To be fair, we usually have a good game at QP. Despite the abysmal 111 in the first innings last year we gave the Yorkies a decent game in the end and beat Middlesex the year before.
