Fantasy Cricket League is back!

Back for a fifth year, the Peakfan Blog Fantasy Cricket League has been started over at the Telegraph website and my team has been duly selected. Cue several of them now developing muscular and skeletal complaints before things start in three weeks time.

There are a few surprises among the scores, especially as related to Derbyshire players. Both Wayne Madsen and Billy Godleman are sixes, as are Hardus Viljoen and Duanne Olivier. I would have thought any of them were well worth a punt for early season success, compared to batsmen and bowlers ranked at seven and eight above them.

Meanwhile Ravi Rampaul is ranked at 3, pretty low for a bowler of international experience, while bizarrely Daryn Smit doesn't feature among the wicket-keeping options, as I write. I did mail about that though, so expect it to change sometime soon!

To take part, use the 'Fantasy Cricket' link in the left hand bar down the page and then choose your team.

To join the league, look for 'Peakfan Blog Fantasy Cricket League' and when asked for a PIN, use 8031395.

I look forward to seeing all the usual suspects and the new faces there in due course. Let's see if we can break last year's record number of participants and have a little additional fun as the summer progresses.
