Maybe it's me, but there are wars that have lasted less time than this year's T20. I'll admit that the increase in teams has evened up our section, but there are way too many matches.
Thankfully, Derbyshire are still in the mix for the North section, but much will depend on their performances from here. Realistically, we could perhaps do with Nottinghamshire and Warwickshire winning all their remaining games, which would leave the other two places between ourselves, Yorkshire, Lancashire and Leicestershire. The remaining games for those teams are:
Derbyshire: Lancs (a) Northants (h) Durham (a) Yorkshire (h)
Leics: Worcs (h), Worcs (a), Notts (a), Durham (h) Warwicks (h)
Lancs: Derbys (h) Yorks (h), Notts (h), Northants (a)
Yorks: Lancs (a), Derbys (h), Warwicks (a), Notts (a)
Northants: Warwicks (h), Notts (h), Lancs (h) Derbyshire (a) Durham (a)
There's obviously a lot to play for and I've a feeling that net run rate could come into this at the end, making a big score or two on the way pretty useful.
Worcestershire beating Leicestershire tonight would be pretty useful too...
Whatever happens, we've not been in this position before in the T20 and that, my friends, is progress.
