Proud Day!

I was delighted today to hear that the blog is, according to Feedspot, in the top ten ranked cricket blogs in the UK, ranked at four with some heavy hitters around me, including The Cricket Paper.

I am very proud of this but just keep writing what I hope people will enjoy. Readership continues to increase after all thos time and thank you so much to everyone who regularly checks in to read what I have to say.

I am grateful to all of you, especially those who contribute their own thoughts on a regular basis. It is especially gratifying to have so many supporters of other counties getting involved too.

Thank you

  8. Congratulations Steve. Since coverage of County cricket virtually disappeared entirely from the mainstream media, Derbyshire fans rely on you to tell us what's going on during matches and behind the scenes. And now it's obvious that your efforts have been recognised in the wider sphere of English cricket. Brilliant!

Morning Steve, that is fantastic news, congratulations. It is thoroughly well deserved. As you know we live in London and travel quite a bit and I always read wherever we are. A brilliant blog. Cheers Mark

  14. Great news and thoroughly well-deserved. I found the blog a few months ago when searching the name of my favorite player when I was a junior member (Ashley Harvey-Walker : sad what happened to him) and have been a regular reader since. Your insight and information have bought me up to date after 52 years of not being able to follow Derbyshire. I even feel as though I know the players and watching the live stream would not be the same without all of the background information you provide. Many thanks Steve and enjoy the match this week-end: allez Derbyshire !

Delighted for you, Peakfan! Living some distance away and rarely watching any live feed - I do get to about 8 days cricket a year at Derby or Chesterfield - I mostly rely on you for news and enlightened opinion on all things DCCC. Thank you for your sterling efforts and enjoy basking in the rays of deserving acclaim.
