Many supporters were,if not hostile,then at least suspicious when he took the helm,clinging to old beliefs and old methods.<br /><br />He proved decisive and single minded from day one,no mean qualities for any leader. The removal of Morris and Brown was controversial,though I still fail to understand why,given his extremely poor record and lack of progress.<br /><br />Subsequent events turned criticism to grudging respect followed by genuine admiration from the vast majority. I don,t think anyone in their right mind would turn the clock back now. Such is the progress made by the club in all areas.<br /><br />Off the field,the clubs PR machine was overhauled and made to work. Gone was the cloak and dagger secrecy of grey suited committee men,replaced by a willingness to engage with supporters and explain the ambitions and aims of the club. A refreshing new approach,much welcomed by all. Credit to the committee aswell,for supporting the Chairman and sharing his vision of the future.<br /><br />Like you,Peakfan I have no doubt the club is in very good hands with Chris Grant and I hope he continues to take us forward for many years to come. Good luck to the bloke.
